Wyoming Gives Back

Wyoming Gives Back 2021

The holiday season is a magical time for kids. Every kid deserves to feel that no matter the circumstance, they have a present to open on Christmas morning. On December 2, 2021, the City will host its 11th annual Wyoming Gives Back event. Wyoming Gives Back will take place 6 to 8 p.m. at the Wyoming Senior Center, 2380 DeHoop Ave. SW. The evening will be filled with festive activities, including live holiday music, hot cocoa, cookies and photos with Santa Claus.

This year, the groups scheduled to share the sounds of the season are:

  • Salvation Army Band
  • Wyoming High School Jazz Band
  • Concert Voices of Lee High School

Residents are encouraged to bring their children to meet and visit with members of the Wyoming Police and Fire departments as well as Santa Claus.

At last year’s virtual event, more than 800 toys were collected and the City raffled off nearly $3,500 in prizes from local businesses.

Of course, 2020 was a little different. Instead of dropping toys off at the event, people dropped off prizes at locations across the city. Thank you Godwin Hardware & Plumbing, Marge's Donut Den, Pizza Hut, Robinson's Popcorn, and Russo's Pizza for being toy drop-off sites.
