Laboratory Accreditation
In January 2026, the Wyoming Police Department Forensic Science Unit, which is responsible for performing specialized forensic testing in latent print comparison and controlled substance analysis, received accreditation by the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) to ISO/IEC 17025:2017, the international standard for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories. To receive accreditation, the forensic laboratory had to demonstrate that its testing services are performed competently, impartially, and generate valid results. The Accreditation Certificate (Cert.
