City Projects

Week of August 10, 2026

CITY OF WYOMING PROJECTS

Burton Street Reconstruction - Burlingame to Clyde Park (including work on Osmer) (Anlaan Corp) 

Burton between Kamp Avenue and Clyde Park Avenue: 

  • Contractor paved the base course of asphalt last week 

  • Contractor will be working on placing concrete sidewalk this week. 

  • Concrete on the north side is complete with work moving to the south side.  

Burton between Burlingame Avenue and Kamp Avenue: 

  • Contractor is installing watermain starting near Kamp and working towards the west. 

  • Watermain has progressed to near Havana Ave. 

  • Local traffic will be maintained in the west bound direction only in this section. 

Osmer Avenue: 

  • Contractor has some lawn restoration and clean-up left to be completed. 

Boone Avenue Watermain Reconstruction - Lacrosse to 36th Street (Wyoming Exc) 

Contractor plans to mill at the end of the week and pave early next week. 

56th Street and Byron Center Dual Left Turn Lane - (Brenner Exc) 

Northbound left lane on Byron Center will remain closed for several weeks.  Concrete work to continue this week. The new lane aggregate base to be placed this week. Paving is scheduled for Saturday the 15th. 

Wyoming Local Resurfacing Program - (Michigan Paving and Materials, Inc) 

Havana Avenue between Lee Street and Chicago Drive: 

  • Castings are to be raised and grass hydroseeded by the end of the week.  

Palm Dale, Cotton Dale, Pine Slope and Naples Cedar Area: 

  • Contractor plans to begin concrete removal at the end of the week. 

Prairie Parkway Reconstruction – Wentworth to Michael - (Wyoming Exc) 

Prairie between Michael and Burlingame: 

  • The north half of the road has had the base course paved.   

  • Traffic is being maintained on the new pavement and traffic flow is in the West bound direction only.   

  • Contractor is planning to finish concrete work and lower castings to possibly pave base course on Friday.  

Prairie between Byron Center and Wentworth: 

  • Watermain work should complete install west of Roy’s Creek and begin T&C testing. 

  • Traffic will be maintained in the eastbound direction. 

 

PRIVATE DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS 

3738 – 52nd Street - Salmon’s View Residential Development (Excel Exc) 

Watermain tie-ins for phase 1A and 1B are scheduled for today, Monday the 10th. Crews are scheduled to complete public utility crossings on 52nd by Wednesday, 12th. Paving is scheduled for Thursday, 13th.  

300 36th Street – Corewell Heath (Pioneer Construction) 

Contractor has completed pavement markings.  Date for activation of the new signal has not been set.
