Do you enjoy working with people, supporting local
businesses, and being part of a thriving community? If the answer is yes, join
the City of Wyoming as a part-time Farmers Market Assistant!
Throughout the summer and fall season, Godwin Mercado
opens their doors on Sunday for residents and vendors to come together to share
community connections through local farmers, food makers, and artisans.
This role offers valuable hands-on experience
supporting community events, local vendors, and food advocacy. It is a great
opportunity for those interested in food security and food systems, community
engagement, and hospitality!
The Farmers Market Assistant supports the daily
operations of the market by supporting vendors, welcoming visitors, processing
SNAP, helping with set-ups and tear downs, and ensures a safe, organized, and
positive market experience for all.
The ideal candidate is organized, detailed-oriented,
and comfortable multi-tasking. Strong customer service and the ability to
communicate clearly with residents, staff and community partners is essential
for success in this role.
Weekend availability is required for this role.
If you want to be part of a team that bring the
farmers market to life each week, we are looking for you!
