The City of Wyoming is seeking applicants for a Planner I or II position in our Planning and Economic Development Department. This position will work closely with other planning staff to support day-to-day planning operations of the city.  

With a typical four-day work week, this position includes a generous benefits package including an employer-paid defined contribution plan (8%) and post-employment health plan (4%), a comprehensive health insurance plan, dental and vision insurance plans, life insurance, paid vacation and sick time and paid holidays, tuition reimbursement, longevity pay, and free access to an employee assistance program.

Responsibilities include researching, analyzing, and preparing comprehensive reports; delivering presentations at meetings involving planning and zoning; assisting in the execution of community and economic development projects; working with a diverse group of internal and external contacts at various levels of organizations; and ensuring work is completed in accordance with laws, ordinances, policies, and procedures.

We are looking for candidates who are innovative and critical thinkers. Our ideal candidate has four years of progressively responsible work in the planning field.  

Candidates with lesser experience are encouraged to apply and may be placed at the Planner I

level, based upon experience and qualifications. The range for the Planner I position is G55 - $28.79 - $35.54 per hour.
