Located in Holland, Michigan, the City of Wyoming's Donald K. Shine Drinking Water Plant is seeking a qualified person to fill the position of Utility Plant Operator II.  This position performs responsible tasks involved in drinking water plant operation, minor maintenance, and laboratory analysis.

Within its prescribed limits, work is performed with considerable independence and without close supervision.  Responsible for plant operations and process control. Collects samples, performs tests, and records test results. Regulates the flow of chlorine and other treatment chemicals.

This position includes competitive pay and benefits package. Highlights include:

  • 38-hour work week and considered full-time for benefits.

 A State of Michigan F-3 Drinking Water Operator Certification and a minimum of 5 years of experience working in a drinking water treatment plant is required.


Applicants should have an associate’s degree in water technology or a related science field.  An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may substitute for the degree requirement.
