The City of Wyoming is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated individual to join our Forensic Science Unit within the Wyoming Police Department. The Forensic Science Technician is responsible for collecting, preserving, and analyzing physical evidence from crime and accident scenes. 

Duties include fingerprinting, photography, crime scene documentation, evidence processing, preparing materials for court, and providing courtroom testimony and laboratory work with chemical processing.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to accuracy and integrity in every aspect of evidence handling. Prior latent print examination and comparison experience preferred.

The Forensic Science Technician I wage range is $24.81 - $30.69 per hour. The Forensic Science Technician II wage range is $30.16 - $36.90 per hour. Placement into the I or II level and associated wages are dependent on qualifications and experience. Employees are eligible for a pay increase following the end of the probationary period.
