The City of Wyoming is seeking a
skilled and motivated Assistant Director to help lead the City’s Information
Technology Department forward for continual growth in the quickly evolving
technological world. This position is situated for strategic growth and may be
considered for promotion to the director position upon their retirement.
Our IT Department supports the full
range of municipal services, and the Assistant Director will provide leadership
and strategic guidance for city and departmental goals and objectives. As an
Assistant director, you will lead the day-to-day operations of the department
and oversee projects that support the City’s infrastructure, systems,
applications, and security while fostering collaboration and teamwork within
the department. The scope of responsibility includes technical, administrative,
and professional work such as coordination, management, and supervision of
subordinate staff.
This
role requires the ability to use tact, good judgment, and resourcefulness when
working with superiors, associates, subordinates, and internal and external
stakeholders. Strong
management and leadership skills with the ability to coach and lead others are
integral to this position.

To be considered for this position, the preferred
candidate should possess job-related experience with progressively increasing
responsibilities and training or supervisory experience. Candidates must have a
bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
Candidates with an equivalent combination of education, training, certification
and experience will be considered.
