The Office Specialist II is responsible for supporting the City Treasurers office by performing a variety of general and complex office/clerical support duties. This position will be responsible for technical work in cash handling, accounts receivable processing, customer service, data entry, ordering and maintaining supplies, and working on special department-specific functions and projects. This position works with a diverse group of external contacts as well as internal contacts at all levels of the organization. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize, and organize diversified workload. 

Desirable skills for the position include excellent communication skills, experience in a finance related field, ability to maintain discretion and tact with sensitive subject matter, strong attention to detail, desire to work with the public in a diverse community, basic understanding of accounting principles, desire to participate in continuous evaluation or processes and proactively suggest process improvements, ability to accept/adapt to change as directed. Bilingual or multilingual is preferred but not required. 

This position includes a competitive pay and benefits package. Highlights include:
