The Office Specialist II in the Clerk's Office will primarily assist with preparation for the City and general elections, which includes filing, alphabetizing, data entry, assisting voter registration, and customer service. Candidates are also responsible for business licensing, notaries, and Freedom of Information Act requests. 

The Office Specialist II must have strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills, the ability to work quickly and efficiently, experience using Microsoft Office programs, and knowledge of and ability to perform work in an office setting. Also responsible for supporting department and City programs and functions by performing a variety of general office/clerical duties. This position is responsible for technical work in areas such as typing, filing, scheduling, data entry, record keeping, payroll, coordination of meetings, ordering and maintaining supplies, coordinating mailings, drafting correspondence, and working on special department-specific functions and projects. 

This position works with a diverse group of external contacts as well as internal contacts at all levels of the organization. Independent judgment is required to plant, prioritize, and organize a diverse workload. Advice and leadership are available from the supervisor or their designee for complex issues or those requiring authorization. Bilingual candidates are preferred.
