The Parks and Recreation Department is accepting
applications for a Parks Technician 2 to maintain with experience in the areas
of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and landscaping to be assigned to the new Godwin
Mercado, Wyoming Senior Center, and the Veteran’s Memorial Garden. The ideal
candidate will play an important role in the maintenance of the building,
grounds, and overall facility upkeep.
This new position offers a unique opportunity to work across
three vibrant community spaces: the brand-new Godwin Mercado facility, the
newly renovated Veterans Memorial Garden, and the Wyoming Senior Center. The
role provides a dynamic blend of outdoor landscaping and grounds keeping
alongside indoor building maintenance and care.
The City of Wyoming has 21 parks, almost 700 acres of
parkland, a senior center, and library that are outstanding and are well loved
by our community. The parks include splash pads, nature preserves, ponds,
baseball, and soccer fields, playgrounds, pickle ball courts, and much more.
The City pays for and trains employees to obtain and
maintain a CDL, as well as other licenses and certifications. Additionally, the
City provides employees with safety boots and shoes, cold-weather gear, and
uniforms.
This position includes a competitive pay and benefit package. Highlights include:
- Four-day workweek (Monday-Thursday), 38 hours per
week (full-time)

Wages for this position are dependent on qualifications and experience. Employees are eligible for a pay increase six months after hire. Effective July 1, 2025, the wage range for the position will be $25.31 to $31.33 per hour.
