Parks & Recreations COVID-19 FAQ’s

Are the parks open?

Parks are open for walking trail and passive use only until July 6. After July 6 our parks will be open for full use.

Are playgrounds open?

YES. Playgrounds are open but not sanitized. Users are encouraged to bring their own hand sanitizer and adhere to 6ft. social distancing recommendations.

Is the Fitness Trail at Pinery Park open?

YES. The  Fitness Trail is open but not sanitized. Users are encouraged to bring their own hand sanitizer and adhere to 6ft. social distancing recommendations.

When will the splashpad be open?

All splashpads will open July 6. Users are encouraged to adhere to 6ft. of social distancing with those outside of their household.

Is the dog park open?

YES. The dog park is open for members. To learn more or become a member of the dog park click here.

When will restrooms open?

All restrooms will open July 6 during open park hours. Enhanced cleaning protocols have been implemented.

Are drinking fountains open?

NO. Please plan accordingly.

What are the park hours?

Monday – Saturday 8:00am-10:45pm (Ideal Park closes at 9:00pm)

Sunday – 10:00am – 8:00pm

How can I reserve a shelter, section or lodge?

Reservations are available after July 6. Groups must be 100 people or less and 6 feet social distancing for people of different households is required.
